In Like A Lion...

February is going out like a lamb, and meteorological winter (Dec/Jan/Feb) was a lamb for New Mexico, too.  Fortunately, March wants to come in like a lion, or at least a disgruntled kitten, anyway...have a great Friday and weekend, everyone!

Hang In There...

We've been hanging on for dear life for some rain and snow in New Mexico. Fortunately, there will be a few chances today and again this weekend! :-)

Venus And The Moon

Brightly-shining Venus and a beautiful crescent Moon are very close to each other in the eastern sky this morning...take a look if you can!  Have a great Wednesday!  :-)

Go Go Go!

It was another beautiful morning for a walk...that's outta the way, so it's time to get cleaned up and get lots of things done.  Have a great Monday...GO GO GO!  :-)

Who Needs Winter Camouflage?

Sure...no snow means everyone gets to see how AWESOME we look, but it's a big waste of some fantastic winter camouflage, you know?  We DO look awesome, right?

Very mild February weather will continue, New Mexico, but the dreaded wind and fire danger return in a couple days, too.  Be careful Wednesday and Thursday!

Test Scores Or Temperatures?

60, 67, 68, 70, 68, 65, 65.  If you're in school, these are 7 undesirable test scores...  If you're in Albuquerque in February, these are 7 amazing highs for the next week!

We desperately need some snow and rain, but since it isn't going to happen, enjoy the unbelievably mild weather while we have it, everyone!  Have a great day!  :-)

International Space Station

There will be fewer clouds tonight, New Mexico, and that will give us another chance to see the ISS!  Moving SW to NE from ~6:30-6:34 PM. Have a great Friday! :-)

Icy Commute

Icy days make me wish we had a safe, fun commute like THIS!  :-)  Since we don't, stay home if you can today or be very careful if you MUST drive!

Snowy/Icy New Mexico Roads

Rio Rancho schools closed, all APS still on a 2 hour delay and I just received a text that UNM is on a 2 hour delay, also. It's better to stay off the roads...for your safety, the safety of other drivers and the safety of emergency workers & road crews.  There was JUST enough light snow last night to make the already icy pavement that much worse...

The Next Round Of Snow...

The snow from the other day melted pretty quickly, but it's already getting replaced by the next round...the green "grass" is turning white again!  Drive safely, everyone!

A Bit Much, But...

This is overdoing it a LITTLE bit, but be careful later today, overnight and tomorrow morning...more snow is coming to New Mexico!  Have a great day!  :-)

Stay Out Of The Gutter Today

I got this, man. Yeah, it's a 7-10 split, but I got this. Pick it up...NO GUTTER!

Be careful on the snowy/icy roads, New Mexico. You stay out of the gutter, too!

Snow...You Complete Me...

Albuquerque has now broken its record for the longest winter dry stretch at 42 days and today will probably be 43.  THIS is how much I would welcome some snow...

Northwestern New Mexico will have the best chance for some snow and rain today, and there is a chance for Albuquerque tomorrow...we need to break this streak!

Seattle Seahawks! Woo hoo!

I've watched the Seattle Seahawks play at the Kingdome, Husky Stadium (when the Kingdome's ceiling tiles were falling off), and Seahawks Stadium (before it was renamed Century Link Field)...most of those times with my dad.  I didn't think I'd ever get to see them win a Super Bowl, but here they are...they did it! Congratulations to the Seattle Seahawks!  Woo hoo!  :-)

Groundhog Day

I know this feeling all too well...Groundhog Day.  Time to get my workout going...I wonder if there will be any sporting events on television later today...hmmmm...
