Stormy 2001-2015

I normally limit my posts to fun or informative things, but my heart is broken.  My cat Stormy passed away Saturday night.  He was the sweetest cat I've ever known and was my buddy.  I adopted him from the shelter in 2001 as an underweight kitten after he was on our KNDO/KNDU noon show as the Pet Of The Week, so he could grow up with my (now 17 year old) first adopted cat Simba from ID.  I let the good people of WA & OR pick names for him, and "Stormy" won the vote.  Simba and Stormy have moved with me from WA to NM to CA.  He was able to surmount a hyperthyroid problem for several years and never stopped being my pal.  He always made sure to join me on the bed at bedtime, and he had his own complex path to walk before either crawling under the sheets with me or laying on the pillow behind my head.  I'll never forget his sweet disposition, his high squeaky meow, or the fact he didn't bite anyone his entire life.  I'm just glad I could spend the last 10 hours of his life with him on the couch, petting and brushing him, giving him water and food and trying to keep him cool.

This funny line from Miss Congeniality is just about right for California's Central Coast right now!  Although there are welcome rain showers currently, the weather will be drier, brighter and warmer this afternoon!

Foggy Start

Sunny mornings are great, but I also love a quiet, foggy start to the day, too!  Have a fantastic Sunday, everyone!  :-)

Haircut Time!

Haircut day for me today!  I wonder if I should go with one of these choices from Guatemala. :-) Shorter hair for me tonight on KCOY & KKFX!
