Happy Anniversary!

A Happy Anniversary to my bride Kelly...6 wonderful years!  There was a mix-up with our wedding cake, but it wasn't that big of a deal.  We had ordered this giant cheeseburger-lookin' cake, but as you can see, someone else got that.  The 4-layered cake sent to us had 2 layers of chocolate and 2 layers of lemon-poppyseed.  It was awesome, too!  ;-)  As I look at that first photo, I'm thinking that cheeseburger cake was HIS idea...not hers...

Wild Animals In Nature

It's so cool to see these wild animals in their natural environment.  The baby is nervous while traveling with the herd, so it sticks close to mom until fully-grown...

The Rain Continues...

You know it's wet when our amphibian friends are trying to stay dry. We've had over 2" of rain in two weeks, we're now less than 2/3" below average for 2013, and it's raining steadily as I type! Chances for rain Sunday & Monday (but less likely than today), then only isolated activity at best after that. Stay safe!

Haircut Day

Haircut time for me today.  I was thinking of going with this hairdo.  Not only does it look like you can see in both directions, but backward hats look correct, too... ;-)

State Fair Time!

Hmmmm...says here that the Guernsey is a breed of cattle used in dairy farming...true...I am.  It is fawn in color with white markings...I would have just called myself brown, but I like the word "fawn", too.  It is particularly renowned for its hardiness and docile disposition...yep...that's me!

Hey, it's State Fair time!  Be sure to bring an umbrella!  :-)

Related To The Previous Post...

Every day I put the couch cushions where they're supposed to be, and every day Simba has to push one of them on the floor.  That is one of her spots.  She jumps onto the arm of the couch, looks at the cushion, probably thinks "How did this get back up here?!?  I pushed it to the floor yesterday!", burrows behind it, pushes it to the floor, watches it fall with a satisfied look on her face (because cats' faces are SO expressive), and then settles down for a few hours.  Again...rough life for cats in my house...

Roadrunner

A roadrunner decided to visit our house today.  There wasn't a coyote in pursuit, but there has been a coyote seen in our neighborhood.  MEEP MEEP!
