I've seen up to 14.00" of rain has fallen in at least one spot due to Hurricane Irene today. That's 10 times more rain than Albuquerque has had in 2011...

At least 2 deaths from Hurricane Irene. The only thing more preventable than a hurricane death is a shark attack death. If you don't want to get killed by a shark, don't go where sharks are. If you don't want to die in a hurricane, LEAVE THE AREA before the storm hits.

The theft of baked goods...

I can neither confirm nor deny that the cookie jar had to be refilled twice while I was back home visiting my folks last week.  I also have no comment about the alleged disappearance of a loaf of banana bread, or the followup disappearance of half of the next loaf that needed to be baked.  What I can say is my mom is the best baker/cook there is.  That's all I have to say abou tha-tuh...

Two cats zonked out on the carpet...one in the sun, one in the shade. All I need now is a metal suitcase with some tubes and wires to make it look like a feline version of "Inception".
